HOW TREND STARTED

The concept of Trend was created on a trip away to the Barossa Valley on the 14th of December 2014, and yes there was alcohol involved in coming up with such a crazy idea!

Steve and Holly had a vision of a Gym that truly did care about it’s members and that did not treat them like numbers, but always had their health and well being as the driving force behind the business.

Steve had worked in and managed, large Gyms that were a part of big corporations and was always frustrated at the constant drive for new members and treating everyone like numbers, rather than focusing on retaining existing members by creating what they wanted – a supportive environment to work out in.

Initially they were going to call the gym, Zone Fitness, but a gym of the same name existed in the northern suburbs so it was back to the drawing board and it took a little while to find a name that no one else had, but eventually, Trend Fitness was born.

Trend Fitness had it’s official opening on the 3rd August 2015 and started out with Steve and Holly, one Receptionist, two Personal Trainers and one Creche team member. Fast forward to now and there are two gyms and a Team of 16+ and over 1000 awesome members all working towards the same goals.

Steve Little – Director

Steve spent over 8 years in the Australian Army and has been involved in Physical activity and training for over 20 years. He has been involved in many gyms across Australia and has always promoted health and fitness and looking after yourself. Steve has also spent time out on the trails around Adelaide and has competed in Ultra Marathons across Australia including The North Face 100km, Heysen 105km and Yurrebilla Ultra marathon 56km.

Philosophy: There is no better way of spending my time than helping other people to achieve their fitness and life changing goals. “Your Life, Your Choice”

Holly Little – Director

Holly has a passion for fitness and helping people improve their overall health and well-being.

She has been a Remedial therapist for over ten years and teams that with being a Personal Trainer.

She has always been involved in fitness in some way from Cross Country running in high school, to Netball, to Martial Arts, Weight Training and recreational Trail running.

Philosophy: Holly believes that no matter what your fitness level or age you can achieve your goals it’s really just up to you and what you put into it because as she says:

‘We all start off at the same place but where you end up is up to you.’

A TREND Fitness personal trainer is fully qualified and handpicked by the directors. Our trainers are competent, knowledgeable and are waiting to assist you with your training needs, goals and outcomes.

Our group fitness classes consist of indoor CIRCUIT, mix body weight exercises with interval & strength training incorporating cardio, and BOXING with fun, high intensity, fat blasting, mood lifting and aggression busting sessions as well as COREHIIT and STRENGTH & FITNESS classes.
